Pronounced /ˈænθələ/, Anthala represents the next major step forward for the Disc Realms network and our most ambitious Towny project to date. Built on a fully custom foundation, Anthala expands the classic Towny formula with new systems, an evolving map, and a world driven by player decisions. This is a revamp of what represents towny, no more resets, just updates.
Set within a handcrafted overworld, Anthala features an interconnected progression system, custom technologies, dynamic world events, and narrative elements that unlock as the community interacts with them. Every region, island, and structure has been designed with intent. Every player's action contributes to the development of the realm over time.
Launching this Christmas break, Anthala introduces a new era for Towny on Disc Realms - one focused on exploration, social strategy, economic mastery, and community-driven storytelling.
Core Features and Systems
Custom Modeled Vehicles (Releasing Soon)
Vehicles will play a significant role in Anthala’s long-term development. As the world progresses, players will gain access to uniquely modeled vehicles designed for traversal, trade, and strategic movement. These systems will expand throughout future content waves.
A Continually Expanding World
Anthala is built to grow. New maps and regions will be added over time as players push further into uncharted areas. Exploration is heavily emphasized, and world expansion will occur based on server progression and player activity.
Twenty Distinct Islands
The Anthala overworld contains a large ocean network featuring twenty major islands, each offering unique terrain, resources, and strategic value. These islands encourage exploration, long-distance travel, and naval control among nations and alliances.
Nations, Alliances, and Diplomacy
Players can unite their towns into fully recognized nations with systems designed to support diplomacy, treaties, trade agreements, and coordinated warfare. Political structures and international relations will influence the direction of server-wide events.
In Development: Global Economy
A fully integrated economy ties the entire world together. Trade routes, resource distribution, auctions, and town markets all contribute to a dynamic economic environment. Decisions made by players and nations directly affect global pricing and resource value. (Note that this feature is still in development to allow all towns to create a market; this feature will be locked behind large nation capitals and towns, including the home nation - Cherishi)
Overworld-Only Environment
Anthala removes the Nether and End dimensions entirely. All necessary materials, systems, and progression routes have been redesigned to exist within the overworld, creating a more cohesive and immersive environment.
Cosmetic Item System
Cosmetic items allow players to customize their identity and appearance without affecting gameplay balance. These items are collectable, non-competitive, and meant to highlight progression, achievements, and player creativity.
Future Development: Bosses and Custom Items
Anthala’s post-launch roadmap includes custom bosses, unique items, challenge encounters, and new zones. These updates will be released in content waves and will expand both the gameplay and the overarching story.

- Sadly, Bedrock players will not be able to play Disc Realms Anthala. We are sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to developing a way for Bedrock players to join.
- Will the ranks I currently own transfer over?
- Yes, all ranks and cosmetics you own in Disc Realms Network will carry over to Disc Realms: Anthala.
- I want to promote Disc Realms: Anthala for free items!
- We do not give out items for promotion; however, we will reward creators with creator codes and free ranks to give out to the community!
- What are the features that are in Development?
- These are additions we want to add to Disc Realms: Anthala to expand server lore and engagement. As these are difficult to make, we will release them in development drops through the server's lifetime (Until we die off irl).
